O holy St. Philip Neri, patron saint of joy, you who trusted Scripture’s promise that the Lord is always at hand and that we need not have anxiety about anything, in your compassion heal our worries and sorrows and lift the burdens from our hearts.  We come to you as one whose heart swells with abundant love for God and all creation, hear us we pray especially in this need….
Keep us safe through your loving intercession, and may the joy of the Holy Spirit which filled your heart St. Philip, transform our lives and bring us peace. Amen

Philip, my glorious Advocate, teach me to look at all I see around me after thy pattern, as creatures of God.

Let me never forget that the same God who made me, made the whole world and all animals that are in it.

Give me the grace to love all God’s works for God’s sake, and all men fore the sake of my Lord and saviour who has redeemed me on the Cross.

Prayer to Our Lady of the Oratory

Holy Mary, Mother of God we turn to you in our need….

Teach us to say yes to God, yes to love in our hearts, yes to the incarnate word in our flesh.
To affirm in our minds only what is true, good and beautiful.
And with our whole strengthen teach us to live
as true disciples of Christ.
Our Lady of the Oratory intercede for us to God that the transforming grace we need may bring us peace and joy.

Prayer for the Canonization of Blessed John Henry Newman 

God our Father, your servant John Henry Newman
upheld the faith by his teaching and example.
May his loyalty to Christ and the Church,
his love for the Immaculate Mother of God and
his compassion  for the perplexed
give guidance to the Christian people today.
We beg of you to grant the favors we ask through his intercession
so that his holiness may be recognized by all
and the Church proclaim him a saint.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.
