Following the 6 pm Mass at the Oratory Church of St. Boniface, all are invited to join younger professionals, university and graduate students for a reception and discussion on The Church in the era of Trump. How do we reconcile friendships and family that don’t share the same views?
Dr. Eleanor Suaers, Pastoral Coordinator of St. Anthony Parish in Fairfield Connecticut. will lead a discussion in navigating with family and friends in a volatile social environment.
About our facilitator:
Eleanor Sauers holds the Doctorate in Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry from Fordham University, where her focus was on the ecclesiological implications of transitions in parish life in the United States.
She has published book reviews and commentary in Commonweal magazine and has presented numerous times on various topics in both the Living Theology and the Catholic Studies series at Fairfield University.
She serves on the Catholic Studies advisory board and teaches a popular course in Christian Spirituality in Fairfield’s Religious Studies Department.
Trained in spiritual direction through the Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality at Fairfield University, Dr. Sauers has just been appointed as Parish Life Coordinator at St. Anthony Parish in Fairfield, where she has served as the Director of Religious Education and Pastoral Minister since 2002.
